Final stop motion
Here is my video for stop animation. I am pleased with the way it has turned out, depite some of the other cut outs being in some of the shots. I have increased the level of which it has been played at to make the cut outs flow more fluently.

Jean-Luc Brouard
Here is a photo I took in conjunction to the changing landscape whilst it was snowing. I felt that it looked simular to the one done by jean-Luc Brouard who takes a lot of photographs on the landscape, especially trees. I am unaware of the technique he uses to achieve such intreging photos
but I feel my photo has some assepcts that are slightly simular. For example, both trees in the photo are highlighted and are the main aspect in the photo with smaller trees in the background.

How I created my stop animation
First of all I had to think of what my animation was going to be about. In this case I decided to do one in which an urban envirnnment was include as well as urban themes that are associated with the city. I included graffiti as this is a main aspect of urban life and is seen across the vast majority of cities. Once I had thought about the ideas I wanted to include, I then took photos of my self in several positions, which will later reflect the movements. Over all I took about 20 photos all in differnet positions. Furthermore, I had to have a background that would reflect and urban landscape. I choose one under a train station giving the suitable effect I wanted. One I had all these photos and had been cut out I was ready to begin! I set my camera up on the tripod so I could keep the same position throughout. Once everything was in place, I began to place my first cut out on the background. For each time you move the cut out, you take another picture. You do this throughtout the process. The thing is with mine, I wasnt just moving the cut out, I had to make it look as though the cut out was wrighting on the wall. This was the tricky part as I had to move the figure according to what was written on the wall. Dispite this I feel I did this part very well. Overall I took around 300 images and proved very time consuming. The less you move your images the more fluent the movement will be once put into a movie. I loaded the images into premiere and transfered the images to a movie. However, the time scale was completly wrong and the video was over an hour long. Consequently I had to shorten the time limit spent on each individul photo by a vast amount to make the images flow more fluently. Once I had done this, the time of the video was under 2 minutes. Once I was happy with the video, I felt it needed some sound to go along with it. I opted to choose a spray can noise as I felt if was rather significant and relivent. The overall effect of the film I feel is very good and i am very pleased with the way it has turned out.

Here is a time line of my movie once it has been exported.

stop motion proposal

Here is my proposal for stop motion. I am going to incorporate somesort of urban landscape into it. The image above is one of which I am going to use as my background. As I am doing an urban landscape I am going to inlcude some aspects of the landcape that are associated with an urban one. In this case it will be graffiti. The other pictures above are the stances in which I will write something on the wall. This will be relivitely tricky as I have to make it look as though still images are moving as well as trying to make it look as though I am writting something on the wall.
