stop motion proposal

Here is my proposal for stop motion. I am going to incorporate somesort of urban landscape into it. The image above is one of which I am going to use as my background. As I am doing an urban landscape I am going to inlcude some aspects of the landcape that are associated with an urban one. In this case it will be graffiti. The other pictures above are the stances in which I will write something on the wall. This will be relivitely tricky as I have to make it look as though still images are moving as well as trying to make it look as though I am writting something on the wall.

Here is my second go at producing a photomontage in the style of Hockney. I am very please with the out come and also ties in with the changing landscape theme we have been given. Here is another photomontage in the style of Hockney. I have tried to get a 180 degree angle of our art block in our school and i think it gives a very good effect.

to produce the montage i started from the right hand side of the photo and gradually built up the image by selecting the relivant photos that would fit with the previous photo.

Here is an example of Hockneys work. I feel that my work reflects his in a simular way in terms of using a landscape for the montage and also in terms of using differnt photos to compose a final image.

Montage

Here is my first attempt at a photomontage. In the photo I have incorporated objects that I own or what i am interested in. This was a test to come to grips with the techniques that are required to create a montage. Further more, as it does not fit the changing landscape theme that we have been given I will have to make one that include something to represent this topic.

Here is my attempt at producing a photomontage. I am very pleased with the way it has turned out and feel confident to do a more complex one involving more images.

First of all you have to take around 20 shots of a particular place. In this case I have chosing a builing to fit our changing landscape criteria. you then need to upload then to photoshop then open then all in the programme.
To start with I chose the image that would go in the middle of the photo and this meant that i could build up the image from the centre. Once I had the middle photo I then found one that was simular to the one it would be placed next to. It doesnt matter if the picture is off centred a bit as overall you will find that it gives a very good effect to the whole image once they are all put together. Once I had played around with the postioning of the photo I then selected enter. For the next step you then do the same thing as before. you may find that once the photos are all together you may need to alter the postioning and sizing of the photo in order to make the image look effective. Also you may need to change the order in which the layers are in as you may want a certain picture to appear to the front or further down the order.

Here are a series of photos I took whilst in London. The shots were taken throughout the day at different times of the day in the same place, which in my opinion gives a very good effect. The first photo was taken relitively early in trafalgar square at about 7:30. The next shot was taken at around 11. The 3rd was taken shorty after at about 1. The 4th was taken at 5 o'clock then the final photo was taken at 7 o'clock. The whole task was rather time consuming however I feel it has paid off in the work I have produced. Furthermore, I am happy with the positioning of each shot as I did not use a tripod and kept coming back to the same spot to try and get the same shot each time.

Photomontage - Research and Plan

Here are some examples of photomontage from various artists. Photomontage is the process and result of making a composite photograph by cutting and joining a number of other photographs. The composite picture was sometimes photographed so that the final image is converted back into a seamless photographic print. I really like the montage in which the zebras are included and gives a very abstract feel to it. This is the sort of style I would like to get my montage to look like which can be achieved by involving very bold colours and weird objects creating a contast between everything in the photo.

This photomontage below is one which includes buildings suggesting it is a landscape one. This is another alternative to doing a montage like the one above which unlike the one above isnt very abstract. in my montage i would like to include objects or images that reflect me or something that means something to me.

Here are some examples from the English artist David Hockney. The photo consists of several images all taken from the same position which are later on composed together to make up a final image which creates a distorted and abstract photo.
